As Finance Manager Belgium, you will be part of the Benelux Finance team and are responsible for the entire financial accounting and reporting of our Belgian entity. This role is a great opportunity to make your mark in a process to align processes and procedures across the Benelux.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Timely and correct internal and external financial reporting to management and Munters Group.
  • Ensure that the financial reporting is correct, complete and in line with the internal and external reporting guidelines.
  • Ensure correct and timely invoicing.
  • Monitor and analyse customer order performance.
  • Monitor and analyse the indirect costs.  Propose corrective actions where needed.
  • Analyse inventories, ensure proper reflection in the accounts.
  • Supervise the correct and timely processing of purchase invoices.
  • Responsible for the VAT and other tax returns
  • Run payroll for ~30 employees
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of government questionnaires
  • Key user of the financial process and related processes in the ERP system.
  • Guide an Accountant in their daily activities.
  • Assist in preparation of audits and annual statutory financial statements.
  • Support in compiling the financial documents for the Board Meetings.

Skills, Abilities & Education

  • Strong drive to continuously improve and optimise work processes.
  • Able to lead changes within the finance team.
  • Working language in the Benelux organisation is primarily Dutch. Within the Group, the language is English.
  • The Group’s ERP system is IFS. For this role, solid working experience is required in any of the major ERP’s, such as SAP, Dynamics, and Oracle.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, and other Office software packages
  • Self-starter
  • Able to make the right decisions on priorities and work with tight schedules.
  • Accounting degree
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience at an accounting firm is a plus
  • Experience with financial accounting, cost accounting, cost control and project control
  • Good communication skills and able to work with all departments in the company.
