Munters equipment is supported by an expert global service network for optimal performance. The extensive experience in process climate optimisation, heat recovery and other upgrades provides optimal efficiency and performance improvements. Our aim is to help secure the customers perfect climate, maintaining the efficiency of their equipment and ensuring uninterrupted, fault-free production. The role is ideally suited for a dynamic Service Sales Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer / Technician background who is looking for a career advancement as part of the Munters Global Services organisation. The position will be home based in Sydney but requires frequent travel interstate covering the assigned territory.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

As a Service Sales Engineer your main responsibilities will be to grow the Service Sales market through developing and maintaining sound relationship with existing and potential accounts who will contribute to the profitable achievements of agreed sales targets and to develop and nurture strategic markets and key accounts.

  • Proactively approach and develop our new markets in centrifugal plug fan installations, unit upgrades across our various products promoting energy savings to our customers 
  • Present a professional image as  ‘competent’ in your calculations, quotations assembly in delivering successful upgrade solutions for our customers
  • Selling Munters or Munters approved products and services whilst maintaining margin management to hit or exceed yearly targets
  • Prepare competitive customer quotations based on customer needs through conducting site surveys or customer meetings
  • Establish annual sales plan for the territory
  • Log all sales activities, actions, calls and quotes in our CRM system
  • Be involved in regular meetings with our National Service Manager, reviewing project requirements and or contract services and timelines needed for the service jobs prior to work starting
  • Sales forecasting – accurate as possible and delivered on time
  • Maintaining good customer relationships through face to face contact and effective communication with the National Service Manager.
  • Handling any customer complaints and resolve promptly
  • Evaluate and negotiate terms and conditions of sale plus payment and delivery terms with clients
  • Initiate agreed proactive campaigns in target markets
  • Raise company profile in target markets through delivery of effective seminars
  • Quantify customer benefits in commercial terms like ROI and payback time
  • Participate in professional industry groups as a means of networking for business growth

Education /Knowledge/ Skills / Ability

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineer or equivalent
  • HVAC / Building maintenance or related field experience requirement
  • Previous experience in a HVAC Service Sales role is an advantage
  • Very good English skills, written & spoken
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ready to travel and work away from home frequently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels and in a multicultural environment is an advantage
  • Flexibility in your work hours to meet customer deadlines
