Job Summary

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the finance and administration department and directs all accounting and reporting activities for the legal entity and its business areas. The Financial controller is responsible for business control, working capital and cash management, tax and other filings and full compliance with Munters financial policies and accounting standards. 

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Develop the overall administrative organization on site in collaboration with local Production Manager and EMEA Operations management, to gain higher efficiency and synergies
  • Manage the accounting function and staff for the legal entity, ensuring an efficient and cost effective administration department and good internal control
  • Responsible for all financial reporting, internal and external,  for the legal entity /Operations in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Munters Financial Manual, adhering to Munters timetable
  • Financial plans and forecasts for the reporting entities, including deviation analysis and follow up of actions
  • Proactive Business Control, act as speaking partner to local Production Manager, EMEA Operations and Group Finance
  • Liaison with Regional management, Operations, Group Finance and Group IT
  • Liaison with other Operations Controllers in EMEA
  • Working capital management with strong emphasis on cash collections, credit approval and management of customer credit accounts 
  • Cash flow management, forecasting and reporting
  • Capital expenditure evaluation and follow up
  • Tax filings and other regulatory reporting
  • Coordinate and lead activities with external auditors, tax and other authorities
  • As required, interact with banks and other financial institutions under direction of Group Finance


  • Fluent in English and Czech, additional Western European languages advantageous
  • Excellent communication, analytical and managerial abilities
  • High level of integrity,  strong drive to improve business results
  • Proven financial management and business control skills 
  • Ability to balance multiple demands and tight time tables
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and spreadsheet applications (Excel). 
  • Ability and willingness to work hands on
  • Flexibility to travel in EMEA

Education / Experience

  • Master degree in accounting or finance
  • Professional certification in accounting and / or tax is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Business Unit /legal entity controller
  • Supervisory experience
