Job tasks and responsibilities

As Senior Mechanical Engineer / Design Lead you will be responsible for leading or acting in some of our product development projects.  Together with Project Manager, RnD Manager Mechanical, Production, Sourcing, Quality and Service, you enhance new design to our product portfolio through redesign, new features on existing products, solving quality issues, etc.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Design Lead you will take the technical responsibility for the project and deliver excellent design from pre-study to mass production.

Other responsibilities in the role are as follows:

  • Maintain high quality on developing new product design, structures and components
  • Leading and developing technical documents (CAD, drawings, tech data sheet, mechanical calculation…)
  • Lead and participate in new product development projects
  • Drive and participate in cost and lead time reduction activities
  • Improve the features and performance of current and future design
  • Strengthen and improve our knowledge on the application and technology
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvements within the Engineering team
  • Drive and coordinate communication between stakeholders
  • Be a role model in our mechanical team teaching other your profession

Education and Skills

To be successful in this position we believe that you have an education in mechanical/ mechatronics engineering (Bachelor, Master or similar experience), as well as a minimum of 10 years of practical experience as a mechanical engineer / design lead or technical project management.

Furthermore, the right candidate meet the following requirements:

  • Skilled in CAD and PDM: Solidworks and ePDM is an advantage
  • Experience from plastic design and deep knowledge in injection molding, tooling, mold flow etc
  • Experience from sheet metal design, E-Bom, FMEA, DFM, DFA
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English

Understand and read electrical Schematics and electrical technical documentation
