The Munters Battery Centre of Excellence (CoE) is European group of experts on battery production humidity solutions. With focus on Giga-Factory installations and large and international customers, the CoE is very motivated European team of specialists on Munters low-dewpoint cutting edge technology. Battery production applications is one the pillars of Munters future strategy due to the exploding market on Lithium-ion batteries for hybrid & full electric vehicles.  

As Project Manager you ensure the high engineering standards and product quality, from design to manufacturing, are delivered to the customer in fulfilment of contractual obligations. Munters worldwide leadership in low dewpoint solutions is assured by continuous product and solution innovation.  

The role is ideally suited for Engineers with mechanical or electrical or industrial master degree with verified experience in HVAC installations and general project management. The Project Manager will need to travel extensively in Europe and spend considerable time on site. 

The position can be based in one of our EMEA offices, preferably in Sweden, Germany, France or UK. 

You will join a highly motivated and young team, during your first year in the role you will work alongside the CoE current members and receive intense training in Munters products and solutions, working side by side with senior designers and project managers. You will be supported by a designated mentor making sure the right skills and correct approach is developed.  

Key duties & Responsibilities

As Project Manager you provide high qualified site and installation management in large and key projects.  

As Project Manager you communicate directly with the customers and suppliers and coordinate and initiate all activities requested to fulfil the contract obligation. As Project Manager you are fully responsible to initiate and follow the equipment manufacturing in our European factories including the control of the FAT (factory Acceptance Test) and organisation of the delivery of units. 

As a Project Manager your responsibilities and job mission will be: 

  • Project handover from Sales/Design to Project Management upon receipt of order 
  • Understand and discuss the solutions adopted and review any quotation from suppliers if present. Liaise with all relevant people of the project and understand the timescales 
  • Evaluate terms and conditions of sale and contracts, plus technical aspect of orders received 
  • Be introduced to the customer as key and primary reference for the project.
  • Start connecting with factories, customer, suppliers and site to understand the requirement. 
  • Prepare, review and authorise the Procurement Orders in line with Munters policy and project and contractual requirement.
  • Follow all manufacturing and procurement steps organising the work with project plans
  • Make sure the contract performances are strictly following ISO quality procedures as well as the Munters guidelines and standards
  • Liaise with approved suppliers, contractors and consultants
  • Develop and research new suppliers and subcontractors to explore new opportunity and to be competitive in all different markets in Europe
  • Provide technical support to customers and organise training and seminar for our key accounts. Organise regular visit to clients and projects across Europe.
  • Organise Factory visits and FATs
  • Manage site delivery of the units
  • Manage Health & Safety requirement of the site dealing with customers and local authority
  • Organise works on site with our internal teams and contractors.
  • Make sure the contractual deadlines are achieved and the work is carried out with highest quality standard and highest safety procedures.
  • Complete the work up to commissioning and final tests. Organise Munters expert technicians to support in this phase.
  • Be fully responsible of the Profit & Loss of the project reporting with frequency to head of CoE the performance and the predicted final results
  • Maximise the profit of the contract in line with highest performances of the solution, customer satisfaction and Safety scores. 

Education & Skills

  • Master degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineer or equivalent  
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC Design with focus on Air-Conditioning and Humidity related problems 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC industry 
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Project Manager
  • Application software: Office 365 package, Acrobat suite, AutoCAD, Salesforce
  • Awareness of CRM System
  • Knowledge on PLC and BMS controls
  • Dynamic and problem solving attitude
  • Very good English skills, written & spoken
  • Additional language skills are an advantage
